Similar to previous currency redesign rollouts, the government has been working with Banknote Equipment Manufacturers (BEM) to help update self-service and other bill accepting machinery to ensure they have the information they need to adjust their machines to accept the new design when it begins circulating. So that your business is prepared, we encourage you to reach out to your manufacturer to make any necessary technical adjustments to ATMs or machines with cash receptors, such as vending or automated checkout machines.
